We met in a stuffy little gym with no air conditioning. I played volleyball at Evangel, and he was on the basketball team, so it didn’t take long for us to run into each other. At first he was shy, and I often say that I had to make the first move, but there was just something about him that was different. It was different than anything I had ever had before, even that early on. Our relationship became a whirlwind of sports, country music, and lots of glitter.
When he proposed, as I had been anticipating that he would, I knew immediately that I would end up at Norman’s Bridal. I had gotten several prom dresses there and had always wondered about that glamorous white section of the salon. My appointment was a dream-come-true! The dress I tried on first was “the one” but I still got to sample many other beautiful dresses there. There isn’t a less-than-perfect dress in there! I am so thankful for the staff that went above and beyond to help me find my perfect dress; their advice that sometimes the first dress is the best one really hit home for me.
